I am a licensed psychotherapist and psychoanalyst in Orange County, CA, serving the cities of Newport Beach, Costa Mesa, Laguna Beach and Newport Coast. I work in long and short term therapy with couples and individuals who struggle with depression, anxiety and marital issues. Most change is not easy and yet I am inspired each day by the courage and motivation of my clients to challenge negative patterns, the trauma of the past, and the problematic issues of daily living.
No matter what the issue is, marital difficulties, past trauma, or grief and loss the most important aspect of therapy is having a comfortable and trusting relationship with your therapist and I strive to provide that for each of my patients. Because I view each person as unique I am pragmatic in my approach and use a variety of therapeutic methods in my work to assist couples and individuals grow in ways that enhance their lives and their relationships.
My Newport Beach office is a five-minute drive from John Wayne Airport and close to the 73 Toll Road. I chose my office location because of its peaceful and safe atmosphere. My clients find it a calm and comfortable sanctuary. I see a variety of individuals and couples and groups. I am also available to work by phone.
I am licensed in California as a Marriage and Family Therapist (MFC37450), with over twenty-five years of business, training, university, hospital, and private practice experience. I have received a MA in Counseling Psychology from National University, a Doctorate in Psychology and Psychoanalysis from The Newport Center for Psychoanalytic Studies and I am a Training and Supervising analyst on faculty at the Newport Psychoanalytic Institute in Tustin, CA.
Because of the ever-changing nature of my field, I involve myself in ongoing training and continuous learning of new ways to help and support my clients as they achieve their life and relationships goals. See my résumé for a list of trainings, educational seminars and workshops I have attended.
